We provide care with “awake staff” 24/7 to ensure quality of care and safety for your loved one. Because we are a small 6-bed facility, we are able to have more one-to-one care with our ladies. We learn very quickly everything there is to know about each and every little thing that they like and dislike. We know what makes them feel comfortable, what foods they would like us to cook, the programs they enjoy watching on TV, what things they wish to participate in, what their possibilities for exercise and walking are, we learn who their family members are, and we begin to really know and learn each other.
Home Health: We have several home health agencies that we have enjoyed working with and have utilized. We are always open to learning about new agencies if the resident or family have a preference and wish to use one of their own choosing. While mom is being attended to with a home health agency, we will work with them also. We will learn what their recommendations are and what physical therapy (PT) or occupational therapy (OT) would like us to do in their absence to help your loved one to regain strength, exercise, or walk, eat, perform ADL’s etc.
Dementia Waiver: We maintain a special waiver on our license to provide care for our residents that have been diagnosed with dementia and/or been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Because of our extensive staff training, and “awake staff”. We are extremely successful with this specialized type of care. We provide “awake” staff on the grave/night shift to promote quality care of our residents that get up or are confused in the night hours.
Hospice Waiver: We carry a special licensing waiver to care for residents that need hospice services. Our specialized training on Hospice Care/End of Life prepares the staff members so that we provide a high quality program for the hospice resident and their families. In addition to the quality care we provide, we have 24/7 “awake staff” to ensure safety and quality of care for your loved one. We can recommend agencies that we have worked with or we welcome the families’ choice if they have a preferred agency.
